⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ Great nas / mini server for a home lab
I bought the ryzen 7 5825u barebone to run proxmox, with 32 gb ddr4, a 4 tb nvme ssd and an 8 tb hdd.
Pros:
8 cores / 16 threads: easily runs home assistant, pi-hole, a nas and vms, while staying efficient at idle
4 × 3.5" bays, 2 nvme slots + wi-fi slot convertible to nvme
2 × 2.5 gbe intel i226-v, detected out of the box
Compact, sturdy metal case with magnetic front
Cool temps: ~37 ° C cpu, 28 ° C hdd at idle
Proxmox 9 installed with no issues; bios has power-on after outage and wake-on-lan
Good to know: drives aren't hot-swappable, and 2.5" drives must be screwed in.
The seller is great: fast shipping, very well packaged, item exactly as described, and responsive and helpful. Highly recommended!
Alloy casing, solid construction, feels thick. After installing the Flying Bull, I used the Samsung DDR4 2400 memory module and a 2.5-inch SSD for the system drive. The device has reserved a 2.5-inch drive mounting position, and the sockets are very tight.
I would like to take this opportunity to express our satisfaction regarding the services and products we recently received. Everything meets our expectations, and we are very grateful for their quality and attention to detail.
Value for money: Very good. Noise control: no noise. Stability: has been working for a few days. Compatibility: The compatibility should be such that your own memory card does not work when plugged in. Ask the seller if they bought an original one and it will work. Appearance design: the appearance is quite nice and exquisite.
The case has a good metal texture, the processor is R7-5825U, I installed Feiniu and set up a Windows 10 virtual machine and an OpenWRT virtual machine. This just reduced the performance a bit but was sufficient for my use. It's been working well so far. It's also very quiet when placed in the entrance cabinet. Good reviews!
Stable operation, small size, good appearance, everyone said it looks nice.
The performance is adequate. The AMD 5825 version supports enabled BIOS, etc. When the host is installed with PVE and running OpenWRT+Truenas, the CPU usage in idle state does not exceed 10%. The direct connection of the dual network port should be able to install smooth routing independently of IPTV. After increasing the fan speed in the BIOS, the temperature is fine for the moment.
The casing of the machine is of very high quality and has many interfaces. It can connect 3 monitors. The motherboard also reserves a memory slot, an M.2 hard drive slot, and a wireless network card slot, which is very good👍
The seller is very nice. if you have any non-technical problems, we will help you solve them. the hardware is of high quality and exceeds expectations.
Very good! The machine is of extremely high quality, with powerful configuration and high scalability. Feiniu was installed immediately and is currently operating stably!
This works great, its very overbuilt for what i expected, the core isnt a slouch but iv seen alot of these nas alike pcs build with alot of plastic, iv been all the way down to the thermal compound on this and its by far the best engineered nas iv layed my hands on, here ill put it this way, they desined it with enough thought that i was able to slot in 4 sas drives not relizing that i had grabed sas drives, got the doors on and what failed was the mount for the backplane, something that was easly remediated with a simple tear down and remount of the dual pcie 1x connection they used for that backplane, and in that process of teardown i relized that this isnt just a mini pc in a box, we actualy have real atx style front panel connections that i was able to use with a nanokvm to give me real oob functions including power controls, ya, anybody who knows what im ranting about can see the point in making, this is an easy recommendation, drop in a stronger 120mm noctua fan and its great lol
A compact and flexible computer, much better than other models. Quality: good Design: good
Very quick and fast
I love it
works very well.
